ALLIANCE, Neb. – The City of Alliance regrets to inform the public of the temporary closure of the public restrooms located at 3rd and Box Butte Ave., due to vandalism.

The vandalism to this facility occurred on April 1st or 2nd, and the restroom will remain closed for an undetermined period while City Staff addresses the issue and takes action to reduce the probability of future vandalism. City Staff appreciates the public's patience as staff works to ensure the facilities are safe, clean and functional before reopening.

Once repairs are completed, the restrooms will be reopened, but staff plans to limit operating hours as a preventative measure to help reduce the risk of future vandalism.

Updated information regarding reopening dates and hours will be shared as it becomes available. Despite this unfortunate event, the City of Alliance remains committed to providing well maintained public amenities. In an effort to catch individuals participating in these activities, the public is encouraged to report any suspected acts of vandalism by contacting the Alliance Police Department at (308) 762-4955.
