MILFORD, Neb. — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested one person after finding over 500 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Wednesday.
At approximately 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, a trooper saw an eastbound Nissan Rogue following a semi too closely, near Milford at mile marker 382. During the traffic stop, an NSP K9 detected the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.
Troopers searched the vehicle and found approximately 525 pounds of suspected cocaine and 9.3 grams of suspected heroin. The driver, Gurarppan Gill, 23-years-old, of Yuba City, California, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. He was lodged in Seward County Jail.
