Alliance Public Schools announced on Tuesday that Carlos Palomo has resigned as Head Coach of Alliance Softball after nine seasons.&nbsp;

Alliance Activities Director Michael Baker tells Panhandle Post that Coach Palomo wishes to pursue a master's degree and needs to devote time to that program of study.

"We thank Coach Palomo for all he has done for our softball program the last nine years," a press release by the school said.

Coach Palomo will continue to teach Physical Education at Alliance High School.&nbsp; He will also continue to coach the Alliance Spartans Legion Baseball team.&nbsp;&nbsp;
