On January 20, 2026 at 1104 pm, the Scottsbluff Police Department was dispatched to the 2100 block of Char Ave in reference to a shots fired call.
Upon arrival, officers were able to speak to two victims that reported a male had fired two rounds into a vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by a single occupant. A suspect was named and later located.
After investigation, Mario Albert Torres (31) of Minatare was arrested on the charges of Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Terroristic Threats, Domestic Violence, Discharging of a Firearm, and Criminal Mischief. There were no injuries due to the gunfire.
