ALLIANCE, Neb. - Alliance High School's National Honor Society is conducting a Winter Coat and Backpack Drive during the basketball games on Friday, Dec. 12.

Backpacks are being collected to benefit Capstone Child Advocacy Center, a local organization that works to ensure justice and healing for child abuse victims and their families in Western Nebraska. Coats will be distributed to Emerson Elementary School, Grandview Elementary School and Alliance Middle School students in need of winter coats.

Monetary donations will also be accepted. All proceeds will be used to purchase backpacks and coats.
