On July 19 at approximately 11:14 a.m. a blue 2002 Mercury Marquis driven by 68 year-old Arlene Goergen of Crawford was traveling east on Highway 26 approaching the Avenue B intersection in Scottsbluff.
A red 2010 Honda CRV driven by 32 year-old Cassandra Brotzman of Scottsbluff was traveling north on Avenue B approaching the Highway 26 intersection.
"The Marquis driven by Goergen failed to stop at the traffic signal and struck the red CRV driven by Brotzman,"Scottsbluff Police Patrol Sergeant Dominick Peterson said. "Both drivers refused medical treatment by Scottsbluff Fire and Valley EMS."
Goergen was cited for a traffic signal and seatbelt violation.
