GERING, Neb. — Weather permitting, work will begin Aug. 11 on Interstate 80 (I-80), from mile marker 95 to mile marker 97, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Nemaha Infrastructure, of Lincoln, is the contractor for this project. Work includes repair to bridge over County Road 189 due to an accident. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions. Anticipated completion is Aug. 29, 2025.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
