The Alliance Arts Council has the opportunity to give a gift to Alliance – a FREE performance by the exciting Omaha Street Percussion group! They will perform at the Alliance High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22nd. All ages are invited to attend at no charge – bring your family and friends.
The Lied Center’s ARTS ACROSS NEBRASKA tours bring the best in music, theater and dance to communities across the state. This month they are drumming up excitement for a performance you won’t want to miss! Omaha Street Percussion delivers high energy, heart-pounding entertainment using everyday items like buckets, paint cans, garbage can lids and bar stools to create unforgettable rhythm and sound. What began as a group of friends raising money for someone in need has grown into a crowd-pleasing sensation. From festivals and school assemblies to performances with the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Cornhusker Marching Band and even an audition for America’s Got Talent, this dynamic group is making serious noise, captivating audiences and creating excitement everywhere they go.
In addition to the evening performance, there will also be educational outreach and engagement with area students during the school day, including a student matinee and workshop.
This special event is sponsored locally by the Alliance Arts Council. It is part of the Lied Center’s Arts Across Nebraska program, made possible by the Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Friends of Lied, and the Richard P. Kimmel and Laurine Kimmell Charitable Foundation.
