A man is lucky to be alive after his truck and trailer struck a train in Box Butte County on Friday afternoon.
Authorities say the incident happened a 4:14 p.m. Friday when a man driving a white pick up truck and trailer was going over Madison westbound and struck the train.
No details have emerged about what caused the accident, but law enforcement officials say the man is fortunate to not have any injuries, though the truck did sustain some damages.
Nebraska State Patrol and the Box Butte County Sheriff's Office were on scene and were assisted by the Alliance Police Department.
