Alliance, March 13th, 2024 – At 06:49 on March 13th, 2024, the Alliance Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of 8th and Laramie Ave. The first officer arrived on the scene at 06:53, followed shortly by EMS personnel from the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department, who responded with two ambulances and one fire engine, at 06:57.
The incident involved a collision between a silver 2008 Cadillac DTS and a parked red 2015 Cadillac Escalade. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the silver Cadillac DTS was accompanied by three juvenile passengers in the vehicle.
The silver Cadillac DTS was headed eastbound on 8th street near the intersection of Laramie Ave. The driver was distracted when they struck a parked vehicle on the South side of 8th St. The driver, aged 30, reported knee pain from impacting the steering wheel. Additionally, some of the juvenile passengers complained of minor injuries, with one child, aged 12, experiencing head and back pain. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel from the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department promptly attended to the injured individuals on scene, providing immediate medical assistance and assessment.
At the request of the driver, all parties involved in the silver Cadillac DTS were transported to Box Butte General Hospital for minor injuries and to be checked out. The damaged silver Cadillac DTS was towed away from the scene due to disabling damage.
