CRAWFORD, Neb. — The search area for the Heritage Seed and Feed "Seek the Seed" treasure hunt has officially become much smaller.
In Clue No. 2, Heritage Seed and Feed owner Jason Hauser revealed that treasure hunters can stop searching in Whitney, Marsland and Chadron. Instead, the $500 Golden Seed is hidden somewhere within the city limits of Crawford.
While the latest clue provides a more specific location, plenty of mystery remains.
"Somewhere within the city limits of Crawford, the prize awaits the person clever enough to find it," Hauser said. "But Crawford still holds plenty of secrets, and we're not giving them all away just yet."
The "Seek the Seed" promotion challenges participants to follow weekly clues as they work to uncover the location of the Golden Seed and claim the $500 prize.
Treasure hunters are encouraged to watch Panhandle Post for updates and listen to Double Q Country 97.5 for additional clues that will lead them closer to the Golden Seed.
