CHADRON, Neb. - On April 14, 2026, Robert Castellon Jr, 31-years-old, entered a plea of no contest in Dawes County District Court to one count of Robbery, stemming from a May 12, 2023 robbery of the Chadron Federal Credit Union, where an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

Robbery is a Class II Felony under Nebraska State Statute. Sentencing is scheduled for June 9, 2026 in Dawes County District Court.

This case was a result of a lengthy and thorough investigation conducted by the Chadron Police Department with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, WING Drug Task Force, Dawes County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol and the Swisher County Sheriff’s Office (Texas).
