Dorothy Edith McCracken, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Highland Park Care Center.
She was born on November 30, 1922 at Clinton, NE to Earl and Edith (Flowers) Dennon.
On August 29, 1943 she was united in marriage to David McCracken at the Alliance Air Base. This was just before he was deployed overseas to the European Theater during WWII.
She is survived by her children, Larry and Juanita McCracken, Jerry and Joyce McCracken and Peggy McCracken. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Russell Dennon.
Dorothy was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Eagles Auxiliary and was proud of being a Covid survivor.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery with Father Matt Koperski officiating.
