Evon Gail Prelle, 60, passed away Friday January 13, 2023 surrounded by her family at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Evon was born in Alliance Nebraska on June 15, 1962 to Larry and Connie (Peterson) Seidler. She was the oldest of 6 children. Her father Larry was in the Army so when they traveled to Ft. Belvoir, VA. at the age of 6 weeks, she slept in a dresser drawer until a crib was affordable. This was just the beginning to many bountiful memories.
Her nursing career began in the 8th grade as a candy striper at St. Joseph's Hospital under the guidance of Mr. Art Abbott. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1980. Shortly after, she married Tom Shrewsbury and to this union three children were born, Ty, Mandy and Kaylee.
On June 22, 1997, her family grew exponentially when she married Chad A. Prelle. Now the proud mother of 8, she found herself busy at home.
Evon was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She loved going to all the events and games of the grandkids. She found joy in being a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring and advocating for many residents over the years. She cared for them as if they were her family.
The best word to describe Evon was generous. She never turned from someone in need. She was a woman of many talents, able to drive a tractor, ride a horse, feed a ranch crew, and played a fierce game of Monopoly and UNO. She also had an adoration for owls and maintained a beautiful collection.
She is survived by her husband Chad Prelle. Her parents Larry and Connie Seidler. Her children Ty (Amy) Shrewsbury of Alliance. Mandy (Steve Jones) Shrewsbury of Alliance and Kaylee Shrewsbury of Alliance, Shannon (Devin) Painter of Ainsworth, Nichole (Rob) Tobin of Massachusetts, Jeremy Prelle of Valentine, Caleb (Christina) Prelle of Bellevue, Chelsea (Mark) Harschfeld of South Korea. Grandkids Cody (Kaitlyn) Shrewsbury, Jared Ellis, Amelia Painter, Tristin Grubham, Terrin Shrewsbury, Riggin Shrewsbury, Mason Painter, Kyleigh Tobin, Isabella Painter, Brenden Jones, Rainey Painter, Harper Harschfeld, Dax Painter and Evie Harschfeld. Her siblings Darrel (Robin) Seidler of Hyannis, Keven (Jill) Seidler of Hermosa, Stacy (Shawn) Murdock of Mitchell, Jason Seidler and fiancé Shannon Alwin of Alliance. Many, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her Grandparents Fred and Irene Seidler, Carl Peterson, Reva Morgan and infant sister Carla Jo.
