On 8/25/26 at approximately 02:02, Scottsbluff Police were dispatched to 1702 9th Ave in reference to a disturbance.
It was reported a male sustained a cut to his hand and a suspect was walking away from the residence. The investigation determined the male victim suffered a knife wound to his left hand and the tip of his index finger was severed. The victim was transported by Regional West Medical Center Ambulance Services for treatment of the hand injury.
The investigation led to the arrest of Christopher Murillo 43M of Omaha, NE. for 1st Degree Assault, False Imprisonment, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.
Also arrested in the incident was Paulina Gutierrez 29F of Commerce City, CO. for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 1st Degree Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Tampering with Evidence.
