Chadron, NE — NCAP Head Start is delighted to announce that Chadron High School student and former NCAP Head Start student, Taverra Sayaloune, has received the Region 7 Head Start Association Scholarship.

Taverra has volunteered to babysit during multiple parent education meetings held at our local Head Start Center. On several occasions, parents mentioned how they were impressed with her and her interactions with the children.
Taverra was actively involved in volleyball and basketball since she was in third grade. She knows what it means to be part of a team and what hard work and determination is. She will continue to demonstrate diligence and perseverance as she moves on to the next chapter in her life.
Taverra plans to attend college at Chadron State College where she is looking into pursuing a career in social work. “I want to be the person that is known for helping others not just in my community but also those around me and help work through challenges they may face every day,” stated Taverra. “I am thankful for the Chadron Head Start Center for allowing me to be a part of their program and for opening my eyes to a career choice that is fit for me.”
