Alliance Public Schools Foundation Proudly Announces The Newest Member To Their Wall of Fame: Dr. Rodney "Rod" Romig.
Rodney “Rod” Romig, a 1962 graduate of Alliance High School, exemplifies a life of excellence in education, global leadership, community service and the arts. His distinguished career as a writer and creator spans continents, institutions and decades, making him a fitting Recipient for the Alliance Public Schools Foundation Wall of Fame. His roots in Alliance have continued to inspire his efforts to give back, support future generations and uplift the community where his journey began.
According to his website, Romig "lived and worked in Hawaii, where he served as the Dean of the College of Business Administration and Professor of Economics at Hawaii Pacific University," for 19 years.
Also, Romig "was a regular columnist for Pacific Business News for several years and served on numerous local not-for-profit boards, including the Hawaii International Film Festival. He still travels extensively from his home in Sarasota, Fl. to South America, the Middle East and Europe."
The Alliance Public Schools Foundation asks that community members join them on October 25th at the Golden Hour at their annual fundraising event to honor and celebrate this distinguished AHS alumnus. Tickets will be sold in September.
