Molly Ridgeway was sworn in on Tuesday as Deputy Clerk of the Box Butte County District Court.

County Clerk Martie Burke swore in Ridgeway at the Box Butte County Courthouse in Downtown Alliance. Ridgeway, a Bridgeport native has been the Records Clerk since July 1. 2019 and is excited for the new position.

"I'm just grateful to have a different title but still do the same thing, while still adding a little more responsibility," Ridgeway said.

District Court Clerk Kevin Horn explains that Ridgeway plays a huge role in the office, such as signing court documents, and will continue to do passports for the Box Butte County, an area Horn says Ridgeway excels in.

"That might not sound like much, but in the world of government, it is," Horn said. We pride ourselves on customer service, and Molly does 90% of the passports currently.  It is my hope that anyone that deals with her on passports and everything else we do leaves here with a good feeling about this office and about her."
