ALLIANCE, Neb. – Box Butte General Hospital is committed to ensuring accessible and compassionate care for every patient. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the financial experience and transparency for those we serve, we are implementing an updated patient payment policy with expanded Financial Assistance options effective August 18, 2025.

To promote timely account resolution and maintain the sustainability of services for the entire community, all patient balances must be paid in full within 12 months of the date on the first statement. Recognizing that each patient’s financial situation is unique, we are proud to offer expanded payment options that promote flexibility and affordability.

Key features of the updated payment policy include:

  1. Patients are eligible for a 10% discount when their account balance is paid in full within 30 days of the date on their initial statement. To apply this discount, the patient must contact and speak directly with a Financial Services Representative.
  2. AblePay Partnership: Patients can now enroll in AblePay Health, a program that offers significant discounts, flexible payment terms, and no interest or fees. Enrollment is easy and no credit check is required.
  3. Financial Assistance: Income-based financial assistance is available for qualified patients. Those who meet our eligibility criteria may receive reduced or fully waived balances depending on household income and family size.
  4. First National Bank Financing: For patients who need additional time beyond 12 months, we have partnered with First National Bank to provide extended financing options with competitive rates and simple application process.

By combining a consistent repayment window with multiple ways to manage healthcare costs, we are empowering our patients with many tools to better fulfill their financial obligations. No one should delay or avoid care because of financial concerns. These expanded options reflect our commitment to equitable and compassionate care.

Patients are encouraged to contact our Patient Financial Counselors at 308-761-1008 or 308-761-1020 or visit https://www.bbgh.org/patients-visitors/patient-financial-resources/ to learn more about available programs, apply for assistance, or set up a payment plan.

We remain dedicated to delivering quality care while helping patients navigate the financial side of healthcare with understanding and support.

Great things are happening here!
