Stanley Todd Harris was born on January 1, 1941 in Crawford, NE to Donald and Inez (Kling) Harris. He died on September 28, 2021 in Lincoln, NE.
He graduated from Alliance (NE) High School in 1959. He was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962 and served as a sonarman.
He married Cheryl (Edwards) Harris on Dec 16, 1961 in the United Methodist Church in Alliance, NE. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brothers Jack, Max and Boyd Harris.
Todd enjoyed many hobbies, including ranching, golfing and playing card and board games with family and friends. He was a member of Alliance Masonic Lodge #183 and held many offices. He was a member of the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church vestry and choir. He was a member of the Alliance Eagles Club, American Legion Post #7, and the Panhandle Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl; his sons and their spouses John and Polly Harris, Jeff and Brigit Harris, and Jamie and Tara Harris. Grandchildren and spouses include Emma and Hunter Hageman, Laura Harris, Derek and Becky Harris, Matt and Olivia Harris, Kaitlynn Harris and friend Job Niewenhuis and Jacob Harris. In addition, he is survived by great-grandchildren Broox and Tomi Harris. Also, he is survived by brother Dean Harris and his spouse Carolyn Harris, in-laws Ri and Jo Edwards, Barb and Norm Nuss, Pat and Jeanne Edwards, Rock and Janice Edwards and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 1t 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Alliance, NE. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 1 from 1-8 p.m. with family being present from 5-8 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
