Jack LeRoy Woods, 80, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home in Alliance.
He was born on February 9, 1941 in Alliance to Elmer Milo and Inez (Dempsey) Woods. Jack graduated from Alliance High School and served in the U.S. Army. He considered his time in the army as the best thing that ever happened to him. A lifelong resident of Alliance Jack worked for Sloan Irrigation, Prairie States Feedlot and Alliance Tractor and Implement Company. He retired from there after 30 years employment in 2007.
On April 3, 1970 he was united in marriage to Theresa Ann Hooper in Hot Springs, SD.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa, his sons, Scott (Angela) Woods of Alliance and Andy (Willa) Woods of Scottsbluff, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry (Sharon) Woods of Alliance and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Walter and Elmer, and his sisters, Betty Davis, Margaret Hewitt and Leota Haskett.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Jeanie Sedivy officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
