Juanita Carrillo, 87, passed May 12, 2024, in her home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She was born January 27, 1937, in New Braunfels, Texas, to loving parents Santiago and Petra (Luna) Hernandez.
She lived in many places during her life. Her youth was spent in New Braunfels and Lubbock, Texas. Later moving to Greeley, Colorado and then getting her GED from Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
She met the love of her life, Margarito George Carrillo Sr., in Clovis, New Mexico. They were wed on November 4th, 1952. They renewed their vows on November 19th, 1955 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
In her life she has had many hats. She went from being a housewife to working at Mid-Wic, Baileys Town and Country, and retired before her final day of rest.
Preceded in death by her husband Margarito George Carrillo Sr., Petra Luna Hernandez (Mother), Santiago Hernandez (Father), Estevan Hernandez (Brother), Guadalupe Escamilla (Sister).
Survived by sister Concepcion Cantu of Lubbock TX, 11 children: Angelita Carrillo of Gering NE, Margarito George Carrillo Jr. (Carmen Carrillo) of Norfolk NE, Edward Carrillo of Scottsbluff NE, Delia Lopez of Gering, NE, Richard Carrillo (Anna Carrillo) of Sunnyvale TX, Alfred Carrillo (Sheila Carrillo) of Bridgeport TX, Michael Carrillo of Sterling Co, Caroline Cardona of Gering NE, Tony Carrillo of Mesquite TX, Willie Carrillo of Scottsbluff NE and Nalena Carrillo of Mitchell NE. 27 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren.
