UPDATE: No threat reported from morning lockdown

Panhandlepost News received word this morning of a  situation in both Alliance and Hemingford. 

The Alliance Police Department website issued this statement earlier this morning.

A potential threat was reported to APD and BBCSO.  Due to the nature of the report the following schools went into “secure” in accordance to the Standard Response Protocol,  Alliance High School,  Alliance Middle School, and St. Agnes Academy. 

The report was investigated by law enforcement. The threat was unfounded and the schools were given an all clear.
