In addition to bringing Kawasaki Motorcycles back to The Panhandle, Masek PowerSports is also investing in the local motocross scene. Through Kawasaki's Team Green racing programs, Masek plans to increase Kawasaki's presence at local motocross events, supporting both youth and adult racers. "

Later the business developed into Masek Auto Supply, then Masek Distributing, Masek Golf Cars, Masek PowerSports, and Masek Trailer Sales. Initially known for its range of Kawasaki and Arctic Cat ATVs, Side by Sides, and UTVs, Masek PowerSports' expansion to include Kawasaki Motorcycles marks a significant milestone in its history. Not many people know that Kawasaki’s roots tie strongly to Gering’s history.
When Kawasaki Heavy Industries entered the motorcycle world with their purchase of Meguro, a motorcycle manufacturing company in Tokyo, in 1963, they began to search for distributors in the American market. Some motorcycles were imported under “white-label” brand names, but Masek’s in Gering, Nebraska was the first company in the United States to import and sell a motorcycle with Kawasaki on the tank. Masek’s soon after established themselves as the first, then largest, and ultimately last Kawasaki distributor, setting up dealers all across the country and helping to promote and sell the Kawasaki brand.
In 2018, Masek’s re-entered the power sports world as a dealer for Kawasaki Side by Sides and ATVs.
