Quilters and fiber artists please join us for the artist reception of Milla Malchow, July 30th 5-7 p.m. at the Carnegie Arts Center. Please enjoy food and beverage while you get to meet the incredible artist who has dubbed her work, “Thread Painting.”
Her incredible pieces take three months to create from start to finish. All are created free hand using a long arm sewing machine. As a painter uses their brush and looks back and forth from reference to canvas, so does Milla, only her paint is thread. Her pieces can be comprised of over 100 different thread colors and thousands of stitches. Please join us in learning more about her artistic process and work.
The event is open to the public.
