NDOT Releases Data on December Traffic Fatality Toll

LINCOLN, Neb. — During the month of December 2025, fifteen people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

  These 15 fatalities occurred in 15 fatal crashes.

-Four of the nine vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, four were using a seatbelt, and one had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.

-Ten of the fatalities were in rural locations*.

-There was one fatality on the interstate, seven on other highways, and seven on local roads.

-Four of the fatalities were pedestrians.

-One of the fatalities was a bicyclist.

-One of the fatalities was an occupant of a motorized wheelchair.

-One of the fatalities was riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
