A preliminary investigation shows a vehicle driven by Dru Linderman, 26, was westbound on North River Rd. when it left the roadway, traveled into the south ditch, and struck a tree.

Authorities said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Linderman was transported to Great Plains Health. His injuries were described as critical.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
