GERING, Neb. — Weather permitting, work will begin May 27 on Interstate 80 (I-80), from mile marker 22 to mile marker 47, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
A-Core Concrete Cutting, of Murry, Utah, is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge repair over I-80 at Exit 29, joint sealing, concrete repair and new lane marking. Traffic will be maintained with overnight lane closures maintained by signs, arrow boards and cones. Anticipated completion is October 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
