The Alliance Police Department issued a statement on Wednesday afternoon about a lockdown at Alliance High School due to an incident at AHS.
APD received a report of a student with a gun at Alliance High School at 1:36 p.m. MT and the school immediately went into lockdown.
Alliance Police Officers with the assistance of Box Butte County Sheriff's Office Deputies made contact with the teenager and the student was placed into custody.
The weapon was recovered without incident and the entire situation remains under investigation.
