A longtime business and building in downtown Alliance is up for sale. Newberry’s Common Ground Café is currently in the historic Newberry Building that was constructed in 1914. Melanie Mann has been an owner of the building for the last 13 years and says there is a lot of history there.
"They made the Newberry Saddles and the hardware store here in town, and there is actually a long line of relatives that have owned this building," Mann said. " We are grateful for the support from the community but now it's time to transition to other endeavors."
Mann says that with the history there have been a lot of great events at the building as well like weddings and hosting people for the solar eclipse. Those interested in purchasing the building, can reach Heartland Real Estate in Alliance and request a showing.
