UPDATE: Dawes County Crime Stoppers

Update: Feb. 28, 1:45 p.m.
The Dawes County Sheriff's Office notified Panhandle Post that the 1967 Ford Mustang was found.

Feb. 24, 7:11 a.m. 

Some time during the evening hours of February 19, 2023 and early morning hours of February 20, 2023,  an unknown person or persons entered the Security Storage property located at 1135 W 16th Street, Chadron, Dawes County, Nebraska,  cut the locks on the storage unit doors and forcibly opened multiple storage units with the intention of theft.

A 1967, fully restored, maroon Ford Mustang Convertible valued at approximately $30,000 was stolen from one of the storage units. The vehicle was locked and the key was not left in the vehicle.  Other storage units next to the vehicle were also forced open and contained valuable items but nothing was taken.

The Dawes County Sheriff's Office is asking for your assistance in solving this crime.
