(North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin April 1 on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2), from reference post 175.00 to reference post 184.26, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Western Engineering Company, Inc., of Harlan, Iowa, is the contractor for this project. Work includes milling, asphalt overlay and fog sealing existing curbed areas. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is May 2025.
The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
