CHADRON – Chadron State College is closing its campus Tuesday, Feb. 22, due to winter weather conditions. Residence halls and dining services will remain open.
According to the National Weather Service, Chadron is expected to receive snow accumulations greater than six inches tonight and Tuesday.
The region is also under a Wind Chill Warning from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning.
Artic temperatures are expected, and the National Weather Service said to expect wind chills as low as 20 to 40 degrees below zero.
The National Weather Service recommends to limit outdoor exposure and wear warm layers with a hat.
