Dianne L. Thomas, 77, of Hemingford passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
She was born on July 18, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas to Carl and Wilma (Howerton) Gordon.
On September 21, 1968 she was united in marriage to Edward Ivan Thomas in Nowata, Oklahoma.
Dianne and Ed along with their family came to Box Butte County in 1980. She worked at Woolrich before becoming employed at Good Samaritan Health Care Center. She worked there for 18 years specializing in restorative care. Diane enjoyed craft work especially craft painting which she taught classes for Alliance Community Education for many years.
Her survivors include her husband, Ed, her son, Scott Anthony Abbott of Hemingford and her daughter, Tracey Lynn Thomas of Rapid City, SD and her brother, Chris Gordon of Hemingford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Gordon and her sister, Gale Tizka.
Memorial services will be held at the Bates-Gould Chapel in Alliance on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Greg Reed officiating.
