WALLACE, Neb.-Wildfires are a fact of life on the Nebraska plains, and with dry conditions forecasted, fire officials want the public to know what they can do to help.
On March 23, local fire departments and retired fire Marshal Ralph Moul will discuss actions the public can take to help in the event of a wildfire.
The event will be held at the Wallace Legion Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Some of the topics discusses will be:
-How to stay safe around fire
-How to protect your property
-Ways to assist fire departments in pasture/field fires
-What the community can do to assist in large fires
The event is free and open to the public.
