Jaci, though active in her church and community, has been longing for this day since 2004 when her beloved husband Bob went to be with the Lord. The following has been written by Jaci herself to share with you.

Jaci was born July 11, 1937, in Scottsbluff, NE. to Bernard and Inez (Gering) Dougherty. Graduated in 1955 from Scottsbluff High School and in 1959 from the University of Ne. At the U of Nebraska, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She taught elementary school for 20 years in California, Lincoln, Scottsbluff, Kimball, and Potter, NE. In August of 1969 she married the love of her life, Bob Aue. Together they moved to the ranch outside of Potter. During the next 15 years Bob and Jaci farmed and ranched, taught school, and raised their family. Ranching for the Aues included cattle and sheep. They were involved in several phases of the Sheep Industry. In 1983 they moved to the farm outside of Mitchell. Both were associated with Century 21 Real Estate.

For the next 15 years the Aues raised Llamas. Part of that time was spent working with area youth in a Llama 4-H Club. Jaci and husband Bob loved auctions and served food from their Snak Shak for several years. Jaci was a committed member of the Mitchell Berean Church and spent many hours volunteering at the Worship Center. Many hours were also spent volunteering at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. She and Bob had led several Life Groups to enrich marriages and encourage singles. It was her greatest passion to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jaci is survived by son Robert, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother Gary Dougherty & wife Dee of Texas. She also leaves behind a beloved Mitchell Berean Church Family. Also, a big thanks to Rhonda. Jaci was preceded in death by husband Bob, parents, daughter Jeni, grandparents and sisters Sandra and Anita.
