'Monday Morning Sports Injury Clinic' to be held at BBGH in Alliance

Alliance- The Monday Morning Sports Injury Clinic at Box Butte General Hospital will be up and running this Monday, September 19 from 8am- noon! This clinic is hosted by Greater Nebraska Medical and Surgical Services’ Dr. Brian Shelmadine.

“This clinic is meant to be mainly for injured athletes or acute injuries of the arms or legs,” Dr. Shelmadine said. Potential patients can call 308-762-7244 (option 2) and leave a message over the weekend, or call Monday morning. Referrals are accepted if the athlete was seen in the Emergency Room, by a Physical Therapist, or their Primary Care Provider.

Some typical sports-related injuries treated at the Monday Morning Sports Injury Clinic: Foot and ankle injuries Knee injuries Back and spine injuries Concussions (sports-related only) Shoulder injuries Elbow, wrist and hand injuries

BBGH CEO Lori Mazanec added, “The commitment to our area student athletes continues with the addition of the Sports Injury Clinic. This is another opportunity to return to play sooner with the expertise and service from Dr. Shelmadine.”
