A man sought in a Scottsbluff shooting death of a 63-year-old woman remains at large.
The Scottsbluff Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 38-year-old Davin Darayle Saunders.
The arrest warrant is for the following charges:
-1 Count of Murder in the Second Degree; Class 1B Felony
-1 Count of Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person; Class 1D Felony
-1 Count Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony; Class 1C Felony
Saunders is described as a black male, 5’11”, 190-200 lbs., brown eyes, black hair.
Saunders has numerous tattoos. His tattoos include tattoos on both inner forearms, a script across his upper chest, a script on the right side of the neck that has a star at the beginning and at the end of the text, and a flaming skull tattoo above the navel.
"Information was developed by investigators that Saunders was last in Cheyenne, Wyoming during the evening hours of May 24," Scottsbluff Police Captain Lance Kite said. "It was also reported that he had left the area of the Cheyenne Wal-Mart on foot."
The Cheyenne Police Department assisted the Scottsbluff Police Department in investigating this lead.
"Saunders has an extensive history of violence and should be considered armed and dangerous," Kite said. "Please contact local law enforcement should you see Saunders."
The 63-year-old woman has been identified Karen Cooper.
