Carlos Gonzalez passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at his home in Alliance at the age of 44.
Juan Carlos Gonzalez was born on March 30, 1979 in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico to Antonio and Maria T. (Garza) Gonzalez, Jr. His family moved to Alliance in 1986.
Carlos started trucking in 2004 and continued working until his passing. Prior to trucking he had been employed as a mechanic for Murphy Tractor and Equipment in Omaha.
In June of 2006 he was united in marriage to Angela Delacruz in Alliance. He is survived by his wife, Angela, the children he gained when he married Angela that are Oscar Herrera of Omaha, Juanita Herrera of Alliance and Isaac Herrera of Lincoln and 3 grandchildren, Jaylen and A.J. Garcia and Leo Herrera. He is also survived by his father, Antonio Gonzalez, Jr. of Alliance, his brothers, Antonio (Leta) Gonzalez of Alliance, Alejandro (Melissa) Gonzalez of North Platte, Emmanuel Gonzalez and Jose Jesus “Joey” Gonzalez of Alliance. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Matt Koperski officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be in San Benito, N.L., Mexico. A wake service will be Wednesday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Memorials may be given in care of the family.
