North Platte woman gets over 3 years for meth possession

United States Attorney Jan Sharp announced that Pamela Edwards, 32, of North Platte, Nebraska, was sentenced on January 27, 2022, in federal court in Omaha for possession with intent to distribute of 5 grams or more of actual methamphetamine.  United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Edwards to 41 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system.  After her release from prison, she will begin a two-year term of supervised release.

On January 31, 2020, North Platte Police Department served a search warrant on Edwards’s residence.  Law enforcement seized several baggies with methamphetamine that ranged in size from .23 grams to 9 grams.  Edwards was found responsible for 20 grams of actual methamphetamine. 

This case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol and North Platte Police Department.
