The Box Butte County Commissioners are holding a meeting Wednesday where they are expected to accept the resignation of Box Butte County Public Defender Enet-Somers-Dehaney.

This comes after a Recall Petition against her was filed on August 23. by Alliance resident Brent Hansen.

  Somers-Dehaney submitted her letter of resignation as Public Defender to the Box Butte County Clerk on Tuesday, and it is expected to be effective immediately on Wednesday.

The Box Butte County Commissioners will convene in a meeting open to the public on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. at the Box Butte County Courthouse.
