After recent events in the City of Alliance, the city and the Police Department continues to encourage the public to sign up for emergency alerts in the city called CodeRED, APD Police Officer Tyler Sherlock explains why it is important.

"I think the CODERED is something that every citizen should have downloaded on their cellphone and have access to at work or wherever," Sherlock said.&nbsp; "It's something we have tried to push more and more every year to get more people involved; a few years ago, when a juvenile went missing and we were able to locate the juvenile in a much swifter time."
