Signage will be implemented to direct the flow of traffic within the stadium, and ushers will prompt guests to exit in an orderly fashion at the conclusion of the games.&nbsp; Temperature checks will also be conducted, via a handheld contactless thermometer, prior to entry to the stadium, and no one running a temperature above 100 degrees will be admitted. All high touch-point surfaces and common areas will be regularly cleaned prior to, and throughout, the games. In addition, credit card transactions will be highly encouraged for all game day ticket, concessions, and merchandise sales. Covid-19 safety measures for Chadron State football fan attendance

&nbsp;GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – October 10, 2020 --&nbsp;There were only two scoring plays in the first 60 minutes of football, but the Colorado Mesa Mavericks needed just one more than the Chadron State College Eagles in overtime to win a 10-7 defensive struggle on Saturday in Grand Junction. "At the end of these losses," said CSC Head Football Coach&nbsp;Jay Long, "the players all know. It hurts to lose. If it doesn't, you're not working hard enough. The part I'm happy about is that our team is fighting for each other. That's what got us into the overtime to begin with." The teams took a 0-0 deadlock into the halftime locker room, after both teams missed two field goals in the first half. In Mesa's case, kicker Luis Ruiz-Diaz hooked tries of 45 and 28 yards. CSC's&nbsp;Drake Holdren&nbsp;missed a 37-yarder and had a 40-yarder blocked. Up until the final drive of the half, the Eagles and Mavs only had 229 yards of combined offense. Holdren's blocked field goal was one of two chances in the game that CMU thwarted. The other, from 30 yards out, came early in the third quarter as the Eagles tried to answer a Colorado Mesa touchdown that broke the tie game and made it 7-0. That score came on the Mavs' second offensive play of the third quarter. It was CMU sophomore backup running back Jesse Rodriquez taking the ball on a 61-yard scamper just 2:40 into the second half. Rodriquez entered the game on his team's second play of the game and received the majority of carries among the Mesa running backs after starter Isaac Maestas was injured on the first play and never returned. Rodriquez carried the load for CMU, finishing with 173 rushing yards on 22 carries and catching two passes for six yards. He accounted for more than half of his team's 346 yards of total offense "We practiced a lot this fall," said Long, "but it's always different against another team. They're going through all the same things we have." "Defensively, our scheme really worked. We gave up one big play, but otherwise we put together a really good game. Our defensive line needs a real shout-out. Their goal is to knock the offensive line back and force the ball to our linebackers, and that's what they did. Linebackers Jeremiah Makhununiu and&nbsp;Travis Wilson&nbsp;were busy. Each of them had 13 tackles in the game and an assisted tackle for loss. The two "Star" backers, who play outside the box, combined for 10 more stops. They are&nbsp;Jeremiah Gutierrez&nbsp;and&nbsp;Noah Kerchal. Bearcat pitcher Kymber Shallenberger limited Alliance to a pair of hits in a short three inning shutout victory to open the playoffs Monday. She struck out five and didn't walk a batter.&nbsp; The Bearcats scored 11 times in the opening inning and got a huge day from Mariyah Avila who homered, tripled and drove in four runs.

F|&nbsp;(2) Gering 7, (3) Chadron 6

A four-run bottom of the seventh inning&nbsp;capped by a walk-off RBI sent Gering into the semifinals. Nicki Todd's fly to right brought in the winning run, which had reached base on an error and got into scoring position via a wild pitch.&nbsp; Chadron had built a 6-3 advantage with a pair of runs in both the fifth and sixth.&nbsp; Madeline Wiese went 2/4&nbsp; at the plate with three RBIs and a home run for Gering.

F|&nbsp;Elimination: Chadron 11, Alliance 6 -&nbsp;Alliance Eliminated

Chadron avoided an upset and elimination Monday with a late-inning comeback.&nbsp; Trailing Alliance 6-4 in the sixth, Chadron exploded for seven runs in the final two innings to win and survive to play Tuesday.&nbsp; Ciara Hudson came through with a two-run double in the fourth to give Alliance a 5-4 lead, and the Bulldogs made it 6-4 with a run coming in on a bunt in the next at-bat.&nbsp; Chadron got the biggest hit of the day in the sixth with a bases-loaded triple from Kadence Wild that scored three and gave the Cardinals a 7-6 lead.&nbsp; Back-to-back RBI doubles from Maci Rutledge and Josie Downing in the seventh put the Cards up 10-6.

F|&nbsp;Semifinals: Scottsbluff 9, Gering 6

Gering made a mid-game push but couldn't catch the tournament's top seed as Scottsbluff moved into the finals with a 9-6 win.&nbsp; Tied 2-2 after the first inning, Scottsbluff got three more in the second frame to take a 5-2 lead. After getting to within 6-3 in the fifth, Gering got a huge two-run hit from Gianni Aguilar to put pressure on the top seed Bearcats, 6-5. Scottsbluff would add three in the final inning to pull away and advance to the title game. Avery Fox led the Cats with three RBIs on a pair of hits. Her teammate Brady Laucomer went 4/4 with two RBIs.

F|&nbsp;Elimination: Gering 19, Chadron 8 - Chadron Eliminated

Gering didn't waste any at-bats to open Tuesday's elimination game scoring eight times in the first inning and racking up 15 hits on the day to eliminate Chadron.&nbsp; Gering added five more runs in the third to lead 13-2, and carried a 19-2 lead into the bottom of the fourth.&nbsp; Chadron was able to get a rally going with six touching home plate but the game finished in four innings when the Cards were retired.&nbsp; Gianni Aguilar and Madeline Wiese both had four Gering RBIs...Aguilar homered.&nbsp; For Chadron, Kennady Stack brought in three runs, Haylee Wild homered and Kadence Wild doubled and tripled with an RBI.

F|&nbsp;Championship: Scottsbluff 17, Gering 6 - Gering Eliminated

Avery Fox drove in five runs for the Bearcats as Scottsbluff ran away with the title.&nbsp; It didn't look as though that would be the case early when Gering took a 4-3 lead after one inning.&nbsp; Scottsbluff roared ahead 8-3 in the second and put the Bulldogs away for good with a five-run sixth.&nbsp; Brady Laucomer and Taryn Spady each drove in three Bearcat runs.

KANSAS CITY (AP) —The NFL postponed this week's game between New England and the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs&nbsp;after ''positive COVID-19 tests on both teams.'' ESPN reported on Saturday that Patriots&nbsp;quarterback Cam Newton&nbsp;was among those testing positive.

The NFL said on Saturday that the game, originally scheduled for 4:25 p.m. EDT on Sunday, will be played on Monday or Tuesday, a move that would be possible only if there is no wider spread of the disease on the rosters.

The Patriots confirmed that a player has tested positive but did not reveal his name. Newton's agent did not immediately respond to a message from The Associated Press seeking confirmation.

The only known Chiefs player to test positive is quarterback Jordan Ta'amu, a member of the practice squad who has not appeared in a game but would have spent time in meetings with Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and the team's other QBs.

It is the second game this weekend that has been affected by COVID-19. After an outbreak on the Titans, the matchup between Pittsburgh and Tennessee was postponed - originally for a day or two, and then until Oct. 25 as the positive tests accumulated.

To fit it in, the Steelers' game against Baltimore that day was pushed back to Nov. 1.

The Patriots had been planning to fly to Kansas City on Saturday afternoon. Instead, players left the facility to await further instructions. The team said in a statement that the COVID-positive player has entered self-quarantine and that players, coaches and staff who were in close contact with him were tested Saturday morning and all were negative.

Earlier this week, Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty&nbsp;said the league might have grown overconfident after making it through training camps and the first two weeks of the season without a major outbreak.

''But at the end of the day, we are in a pandemic,'' he said. ''So what happened in Tennessee, although it kind of shocks us, it's not really surprising. I think we all knew at some point we might get some positive tests.

''So it's like, 'We got this,''' he said. ''I think this is just a little shocker, but it's also a wakeup call, like 'Hey, the virus is still here and it will affect any and everybody. It doesn't care that we're trying to play football.'''

DENVER (AP) — Before kickoff, Tom Brady sauntered over to Peyton Manning, who owns four fewer Super Bowl rings but has something Brady desperately craves: a championship with a second team.

“It was good to see him,” Brady said after leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers past Manning’s former team 28-10 in Denver on Sunday. “He’s familiar with a lot of guys we have on our staff. I’ve known Peyton for a long time, almost 20 years. It was great to see him and his kids.”

Brady didn’t use to like seeing Manning on this field in the Mile High City, where he and his old team, the Patriots, lost twice to Manning and the Broncos in the playoffs.

“I love seeing him,” Brady said. “It was unexpected, but great for me to be able to see him and his kids.”

Just like Manning was at this stage in 2012 after coming over from Indianapolis, Brady is still adjusting to his new surroundings and he finds fault more than fulfilment even in a resounding victory.

“There’s still a lot to learn, a lot to grow, a lot of room for improvement. I know everyone feels that way,” Brady said after throwing for 297 yards and three TDs. “By no means was this nearly close to what we’re capable of.”

Brady had some company in his success Sunday: Rob Gronkowski caught a half dozen passes and&nbsp;Shaq Barrett&nbsp;celebrated his homecoming with a pair of sacks, one for a safety.

With his first road win for the Bucs (2-1), Brady evened his career record against the Broncos at 9-9 with just his fifth win in a dozen trips to Denver.

Before Sunday, the Broncos were the only team in the NFL with a winning record against the six-time Super Bowl champion.

This also marked the first time in almost a decade — Nov. 14-21, 2010 — that the Buccaneers won back-to-back games by 14 or more points.

The Broncos (0-3) completed a second straight winless September under head coach Vic Fangio, who donned a face shield a la Andy Reid after getting&nbsp;fined $100,000 for failing to wear a face&nbsp;mask last week.

<a href="https://twitter.com/Buccaneers/status/1310366107899887616?s=20">Barrett</a>, who led the league last year with 19½ sacks in his first season in Tampa, picked up his first sacks of this season in the city where he played from 2014-18 after starring at Colorado State.

“It was a normal morning,” Barrett said. “It wasn’t until I got to the stadium was when I started feeling the emotion and excitement and enthusiasm.”

Barrett's second sack of Jeff Driskel, who started in place of Drew Lock (shoulder), came in the end zone for a safety that pushed the Bucs’ lead to 25-10.

Afterward, Barrett performed the signature sack dance of Bradley Chubb, a friendly jab at the 2018 first-round pick whose selection helped Barrett decide to leave Denver after that season.

“Shaq is one of the best edge rushers in the game,” Chubb said, adding he'll always appreciate Barrett's tutelage of him as a rookie and is glad to see him having success now.

With his full complement of receivers finally available, Brady looked like the methodical QB he was for two decades in New England, driving the Buccaneers on scoring drives on four of five first-half drives.

Chris Godwin caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in his return from a concussion before leaving in the second half with a hamstring injury and Mike Evans had two 1-yard TD grabs as the Bucs took a 23-10 halftime lead.

And just days after insisting he was in Tampa to serve as “a blocking tight end,” Gronkowski caught six passes for 48 yards after getting shut out last week and coming into the game with just two receptions for 11 yards.

“It just felt good to be out there making a couple of plays, get involved in the passing game,” Gronkowski said.

He was glad to help Brady look good again, too.

“There’s been people talking garbage about him since I started playing with him like 10 years ago, saying he didn’t have anything left in the tank,” Gronkowski said. “That’s simply not true.”

Sam Martin was blocked on his first punt when rookie long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer didn’t rise out of his stance fast enough to block Patrick O’Connor, who&nbsp;swept past the snapper to block the punt, then recovered the ball at the Broncos 10-yard line. Three plays later, Godwin reached over the goal line for Tampa Bay’s first score.

Driskel fell to 1-8 as a starter. He hit Tim Patrick for a 7-yard score just before halftime but he was benched in the fourth quarter for Brett Rypien, who was called up from the practice squad Saturday.

Rypien completed his first eight passes for 53 yards before Mike Edwards stepped in front of Jerry Jeudy at the goal line for a one-handed interception on fourth-and-1 from the 13.

Rypien's uncle, Mark, played in Brady's first start back in 2001 against the Colts.

“That's a crazy coincidence,” Brett Rypien said.

Fangio wasn’t ready to declare his starting quarterback for Thursday night’s game at the Meadowlands against the Jets. He could go back to Driskel, stick with Rypien or even turn to Blake Bortles, who joined the team Thursday.

No matter who it is, the Broncos don’t have much time to ponder their problems.

“We’re way too talented to be 0-3,” Patrick insisted. “We’re way too talented to be losing these games. ... Thank God we’ve got this quick turnaround so we can get this nasty taste out of our mouths.”

The conference’s CEO group of university presidents voted unanimously to resume football and basketball, lifting a Jan. 1 moratorium on athletic competition for Pac-12 schools. The football season will begin in early November and culminate with a championship game to be held on Dec. 18.

The men’s and women’s basketball seasons can start Nov. 25, in line with the NCAA’s recently announced opening date.

The Pac-12 is the latest Power-5 conference to reverse course after announcing the football season would be postponed. The Big Ten will open its season next month after initially deciding to delay or if necessary, cancel the season. The ACC and Big 12 began their seasons this month and the SEC starts up on Saturday.

Anthony Davis scored 34 points and LeBron James had 26 in the Lakers' 114-108 victory over the Nuggets in the Western Conference finals. Davis made his first six shots before another Laker made a basket.

James added nine rebounds and eight assists for Los Angeles, which had 12 offensive rebounds for a whopping 25-6 advantage in second-chance points.

Jamal Murray had 32 points and eight assists, but Nikola Jokic battled foul trouble and finished with just 16 points and seven rebounds.

The Nuggets are in a familiar position down 3-1 heading into Game 5 on Saturday. They were in identical situations in the first two rounds, only to storm back to beat the Jazz and Clippers.
